-Please sign up to bring stuff for ice cream sundaes and send $2.00 with your child for pizza. If we don't have enough people bringing sundae stuff we won't be able to do them.  Language ArtsThis week:
 Sight WordsSight words are words that usually cannot be sounded out. These are words that just need to be recognized by sight. Each week we will learn 5 new sight words that will tested on Fridays. Each test will include the new words for that week but also any previous words for the 6 weeks. It is very important that students practice reading these every night since these words are in books that we will be reading as well. These words are found in your child's weekly folder. Word Study Spiral: Each week your child needs to write one sentence for each sight words for a total of 5 sentences. This will help them learn the sight words. The spiral will come home on Mondays and is due back to school by Friday. Words for this week: NO MORE SIGHT WORDS  PhonicsOur phonics program is called Fundations in which there are 14 units. For each unit there is a packet that would be beneficial for you and your child to work on at home. This will sent home in their weekly folder. Science/Social StudiesThis week: Insects  MathThis year we are using a new math program called Pearlized Math. There are three components to this program: enrichment, facts and applications, and concepts. This week:  ReadingPlease have your child read their book with you at least three times a night. Students should be on a level J.
